They are John Zacker, Ph.D – Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and Chair of the University BETA Team; Sharon Kirkland-Gordon, Ph.D. – Psychologist and Director of the University Counseling Center; and Captain Robert “Bob” Mueck – Department of Public Safety, University Police Department. The BETA Team is designed to provide resources when confronted with inappropriate, disruptive, or threatening behavior on campus and provide intervention to avoid an escalation in violence.
